What is a Certified Translation?
If your document requires a professional or certified translation, you have three choices to accomplish this task.
A friend, relative or co-worker can translate the document for you. This might or might not cost you anything, but it might not meet the legal requirements of the final recipient of the document and result in a rejection of the document. Valuable time can be lost if this is not an acceptable solution for your document translation.
You can hire our professional translators - someone who translates documents for individuals or companies. A professional translator has an understanding of the contents of the document, so that the translation accurately captures the essence both legally and culturally of the document in its original language. However, some foreign companies, agencies or countries require a certified translation. Ask your legal advisor or final recipient of the document if this is an acceptable solution. If it is, AZ Roving Notary offers this level of service to our clients.
Your best case for having your document accepted by the final recipient is to have a Certified Translator translate the document. The translator belongs to a professional association that has ongoing training and provides the required accreditation. The translator adds a certificate to the translated document. This certificate states the translation is accurate both for content and legality in the language and country that the document will be used. Finally, the translator or manager of the translation company attests to the accuracy of the translation in the presence of a notary. Regardless of where you are located, AZ Roving Notary provides this service to you through our certified translators making it convenient for you and secure for the process.
How much will my document cost to translate?
The final cost of Certified Translations is based on several factors including:
Language: Is the language European or Non-European?
Alphabet: Is the alphabet Latin (Roman) or another alphabet?
Translation: Is the translation a Certified or a Professional translation?
Notarized: Is Notarization Required for the Certificate of Translation
Date Required: How soon are the documents required?
Page Count: How many pages in the document?
Additional Services you may require:
Original Document Notarization
Expedite Apostille/Authentication/Legalization
Scanned Copy of Document Package
Overseas Document Shipping
Pickup/Drop Off Documents
How long does it take to get the document translated?
From receipt at AZ Roving Notary to received at your doorstep (or designated address) varies depending on the number of pages in the document and the final document shipping method. Completion is also heavily dependent on the language pair (i.e. English to Arabic may take longer than English to Italian). A standard document can take only a few days. More complex projects can take longer.
Certain times of the year are busier than others. Holidays and vacation time can be busier with families requiring travel permissions translated for children. Graduation time leads to more diplomas and transcripts being translated.
It's important to allow enough time to have the document go through its complete process by setting realistic deadlines. Faster turnaround times usually require a rush charge.
What are the top five uses for Certified Translation Services?
Certified Translation Services are essential in various fields where accurate and legally recognized translations are required. Here are the top five uses of certified translations we see here at AZ Roving Notary:
Certified Translations must be accurate and legally recognized. The certifying agency (or translator) provides a notarized certificate involving a statement from the translator or agency attesting to the authenticity of the translation.
If the document is used in a foreign country, then usually an apostille, authentication and/or legalization is required. AZ Roving Notary provides expediting services for any one, two or all three of these stages.
