How do you know if your document is tamper-proof once notarized?
You don't if it is manually or traditionally notarized. Anyone can come along and change the contents leaving the notarial act to stand with the tampered contents
But, if you use a remote online notary service such as AZ Roving Notary, a tamper-proof trust seal is placed on each document notarized.
Once the document is sealed, the copy provided to a recipient (i.e. a recording agency or probate court) can be checked against the original document notarized by using the Hash ID created at the time of the notarization.
An audit trail can accompany the document listing out proof of passing the knowledge based authentication process, credential analysis and signature verification.
When choosing a Remote Online Notary, be sure that best practices will be followed - Choose AZ Roving Notary for your next notarization.
